      I have a new 15 inch metal cutting saw so I decided to order some heatsink material in bulk and cut it to length myself. Using a non-ferrous blade and perfect squaring up, my new saw cuts beautifully to a mirror finish. This 4.85 inch model is my favorite heatsink they sell, the little tabs that protrude out of the base offer many unique mounting possibilities. The height of the fins is perfect for me as my use is mostly to sink voltage regulators or current sources, not 400 watt transistors. Boy I hope they never run out of this particular model of heat sink material or have supply chain issues with this 4.85 material. Cant say enough about the convenience of the extension tabs for drilling my mounting holes. Great design for a heatsink.

      shipping charges are awful, over twice as much as faster Priority Mail, but what are you going to do if you want it ? ****response from HSUSA*** shipping costs calculated on the website are pulled directly from USPS, UPS and FedEx’s servers by looking strictly at the weight of the shipment and the from/to zip codes. However, to save you money on shipping next time, please feel free to call to place your order. Many times, if the shipment can fit in a flat rate or regional rate box from USPS, we can override the shipping and save you money.

      I received my heat quickly - it was packaged very well to protect it from damage during shipping. Good quality heat sink, and it's working great. Would definitely buy more here if I need them.
